Changes in the Conditions for use!
From January, 2009 there were changes in the Conditions for use of the Library. The full document can be read here.
From January, 2012 the prices of the Library and the Archives has changed:
- membership for a year: 1100 HUF
- daily ticket (for non-members): 250 HUF/day

The bequeath of Katalin Forrai
The documents of the distinguished music pegagogue were officially handed over to the Archives of the Kodály Institute on the 8th December 2012. (Details and photos)
The valuable collection can be researched in the Archives. If you are interested, please contact the head of the Library.
2011. 12. 15.
The bequeath of Klára Kokas
After the sudden death of the world famous music pedagogue in February, a great part of her collection of documents was donated to the Kodály Institute by her heirs and collegues After organizing and placing, the collection (books, notes, manuscripts, video and audio recordings) will be open for researchers.
We'd like to espress our gratitude to the the collegues of the late Klára Kokas at the Agape Foundation for they help with pre-organizing the documents.

Documents of Katalin Forrai
The world famous music pedagogue's library, audiovisual documents and manuscripts have been donated to the Archives.
We'd like to thank Katalin Forrai's heirs for entrusting us with the preservation of this valuable collection. And we'd like to say a special thank you to Betsy Moll - former president of the OAKE - for pre-organizing the manuscripts.

Jean Sinor's manuscripts
The organizing and listing of Jean Sinor manuscripts - course notes, handouts, letters, conference materials, notebooks etc. - has been finished. The collection is open for researchers. Her library can be used in the Archives. For information, please contact us.

Hidden treasures
A new part has been added to the pernament exhibition of the Kodály Instutite, which introduces the special collections of the Archives - including letters, books, photographs, personal belongings.
