Sarolta Platthy



She graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Choral Conducting and Music Education. Between 1972 and 1991 she taught at a Musical Primary School in Budapest, in all levels. She was the master of the school choir. As master teacher, she tutored students of the Liszt Academy in methodology and teaching practice.

In 1977-78 she was visiting professor in the Kodály programme at the Holy Names College in Oakland, California.

For the last twenty years she has been a teacher at several Kodály Summer Courses in many parts of the world, including the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, South-Corea, China and Austria.

Since 1991 she has been working as assistant professor at the Kodály Institute. She is also teaching at the Music Primary School for the members of the Children's Choir or the Hungarian Radio.

She is a co-author of the National Curriculum for Music Primary Classes.
